How to Grow and Care

Olea europaea (olive tree) has long represented wealth, abundance, power and peace. The olive has a reputation for long life, nourishment and its ability to thrive in tough conditions.

It is an evergreen variety with small, silver-green leaves. It also produces small white blossoms before bearing the little ripening fruits known as olives. Olive tree can bear fruit form as young as 5 years old but production becomes steadier with age.

The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and is pollinated by wind.

- Thrive in bright indirect sunlight spot.
- Prefers well-drained soil and can grow in nutritionally poor soil.
- Let the soil dry out between watering. Water daily if the weather is hot.
- Fertilize lightly during the growing season
