How to Grow and Care

Peperomia caperata can't be left in direct sunlight, Outdoors, it should be placed in moderate to low light, where it prefers partial to full shade. Indoors, ripple peperomia requires bright, indirect light, such as sun filtered through a thin curtain. It does well under bright artificial lights, making it a good choice for an office.

Water sparingly, keeping the soil just barely moist, never waterlogged or soggy. Use room temperature water whenever possible. The growing medium should consist of a light, porous potting mix that retains water but drains well.

To keep the foliage looking its best, fertilize twice a month during the summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted with water to about half strength. Ripple peperomia does not need to be misted to increase humidity. If the plant has leaf spots, remove and destroy affected leaves and make sure you keep the foliage dry.

Suitable for Indoors or Outdoors.
